Quantum Immobilien KVG has acquired a modern new building in the Europaquartier in Bremen for the Habitare III fund. The seller is LEG Niedersachsen GmbH. The property with around 140 privately financed flats and five commercial units will be completed in 2022 and is located in Bremen's Überseestadt district near the city centre, where one of Europe's largest urban development projects is being realised on the former port site.
"We are pleased to announce the acquisition of an attractive property in a prime waterside location, which will expand our residential portfolio. Furthermore, we continue to seek compelling investment opportunities", says Martin Berghoff, Managing Director of Quantum. "The micro-location combined with the quality of the building and the lively neighbourhood environment particularly impressed us", adds Bernhard Kutzer, Transaction Manager at Quantum.
Modern and high-quality living in Bremen's 'Überseestadt'
The property comprises four building sections built on a shared underground car park. The flat sizes vary between one and four rooms, with the focus on 2- and 3-room flats. All have real wood parquet flooring, large floor-to-ceiling windows and fully equipped bathrooms with level-access showers. Digital features are also included, such as digital info screens in the stairwell and keyless door opening via smartphone. Conformity with the Paris Climate Agreement has also been confirmed.
The transaction took place as part of an asset deal. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Colliers Hamburg acted as agent for Quantum. The buyer was advised by the law firm KFR Kirchhoff Franke Riethmüller, BHL Consultants Frankfurt and ES Enviro Sustain Berlin.
